It was just a week ago that the Saskatchewan Roughriders blew a 22-0 first half CFL lead to the Edmonton Eskimos en route to a 38-33 loss. On Sunday afternoon, it looked for a moment like history was repeating itself. The Hamilton Tiger Cats would tie the score at 23-23 early in the fourth quarter before the hosts pulled it out with a late touchdown and field goal to win 33-23.
Whenever a family goes to the movies there are lots of things that families ignore until they get to the movie theater. Due to the economy, many families that may have split up in the past are staying together if only to save money and costs. The more people, the more expensive it is for movie tickets, of course. Low-cost theatres can make a difference however the lower ticket price is often expressed through the bad picture quality. Getting food and treats may sound good at that time nevertheless it eventually ends up costing people more than they expected.
Heading into last Sunday, there was a consensus that the New York Giants were the best team in the NFL with an undefeated record, a productive offense and the league’s top ranked defense. The New Orleans Saints made a compelling case to the contrary, however, as they dismantled the Giants to win 48-27 behind yet another MVP-like performance from quarterback Drew Brees. Brees threw for 369 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions as New Orleans kept their record perfect on the season at 5-0. The Giants dropped to 5-1 with the defeat.
