When you are looking at options for buying a rug there are many that you can consider. Oriental rugs are popular and a common choice. But there are braided rugs which are also common and they are beautiful and historic, they do deserve a look. There is a long history about these braided rugs; they have been a part of households from the late 1800s. Braided rugs were handmade from less graceful materials like old clothing or fabric. In earlier times these rugs were not used for decorative purposes but were used to cover cold floors so that the homes stayed warm.
